this past week was our quarterly appearance inspection.
i really hate this time of year because it means an additional hour in doing my hair and makeup. as if 2 hours in not enough!
getting a new set of uniform is advisable to spare you the hassle of doing a re-inspection. but since i've used up all my points for a new set of uniform last april i have to settle for what i have right now.
these koreans are sooooo particular with appearance. OA na talaga.
check points are
- the hair - should be in a sleek bun. not a single strand in place. don't forget the little hairs by the nape. and oh, the bun should be like a perfect ensaymada and they strongly advise to use less hairpins as possible. fixing my hair is quite a challenge because after i had the baby i've had tons of hair falling and now they're starting to grow back hence the tuchang everywhere. i've never used so much hairspray and hair gunk in my life!
- nails - well groomed with either a colorless nail polish or the approved red, pink, or tan color.
- apron - clean with no wrinkles and the embroidered design in our apron should be clean without any thread falling off. this i had to hold the apron in a strategic way so that the checker won't see the ballpen marks on the left side of my apron. ha, got away with it.
- skirt - our skirt has a slit at the back. they are very particular with the slit being minutely ripped off.
- shoes - they want shiny shoes even if the shoe itself has a matte finish. what to do? minutes before going to the checker i slathered on some baby oil on my shoes and voila! shiny as new!
